I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
